>>35897522I think OP may have been going by public reaction to the poll. Because when the poll results came out, the biggest attention went to the odd fact that "Decidueye" a Pokemon that has a big base (in the west so far). that's been gassed up by both the fans and GF with Pokken DX, some how not make it top 15 in a popularity poll despite it nearly making top contender in nearly all other big one. Meanwhile a Pokemon like Incineroar who has always been below any if not every poll somehow pull off top 12, and make it past Decidueye in terms of popularity. That was what made the poll stick out to many people.
