Basically the plot involve "Time & Space" distortion with rampaging Alpha Pokemon that randomly happening in a new region that has connection to an event that those characters witness in their childhood on a summer camp. They encounter a genki Kid from Pallet Town (Ash) and start investigate the "Time & Space" distortion and its connection with the event they witness as a child.
PS : They will be unaware of Ash being a Master 08 trainer for most of the time and just see him as this dumb kid who is surprisingly good with Pokemon battle and deal with Alpha Pokemon.
