Let me show you garbage writing, Korrina who had the most character development on XY series became a jobber who could not go past normal class while Alain who didn't had 1/100th character development as Korrina has defeated an E4, won Kalos League conference and became one of the Master Eight though the power of favoritism. Alain's very existence is a middle finger to all the character that underwent character development.
