>>58533281Different people have different preferences, and I like Special for its characters and continuity. The only other manga I know of that tried reaching anywhere near Special's level of emotional depth is Pokemon DP Adventure, but mostly with one specific character who isn't even the protagonist. I still recommend it for its original take on the games though.
I was hyped for ReBurst when it first came out, but within the first few chapters it turned out to be so completely soulless that not even the unique human/Pokemon fusion premise could keep my interest. It's actual slop. It's not just ReBurst though, a lot of Pokemon mangas feel like slop to me.
I don't know if any other manga series has Special's sheer level of autistic continuity. The Clefairy manga would be my best bet since it's been running for so long, but I hear it's just a gag series, which I'm not that interested in.
