>Have you tried writing small scenes and snippets instead of chasing word counts? Super solid advice. As I came to an impasse with my writing, I kept comparing what little I had to previous chapters and felt demoralized in the size difference. I know what i wanted to achieve plot wise, but just couldn't get the words out for whatever reason. Once I started writing Cece into the story the ball just kept rolling, like the burnout dam had broken. Eventually I had to cut it off for fear of being too long and didn't get to everything I wanted to write about, but that's what future chapters are for.
