Hippowdon has a lower base Speed than Abomasnow. And, glory be, I've calced out that even with my hippo's neutral Nature and ABYSMAL possible spread of Sp.Def and HP IVs, it can even switch in on a perfect Froslass Blizzard and live with proper EV training.
Now, I don't know how Gym Leaders' Pokemon tend to be statted out, but that Froslass literally CANNOT OHKO my Hippowdon without a crit.
This hippo is going to clutch my ass.
