Thread anon's game was dated September 9, 2002 (a little over a month before japanese launch), which means his copy was getting finalized for revisions or alternations. Without the rom we can't definitively say that this was what game freak were doing 6 weeks before launch, but some of the changes noted feel weird to fake like the torchic body.
There's also a groudon sprite in that thread with wide open eyes like the scratchpad, unlike final which is more dull, but otherwise those were the changes noticed.
