And I think they're having the "I Love Marine" line promotions of Water-type Pokemon, including Piplup, which is the only starter to be promoted in the series line.
So it's really not surprising that they might bring Dawn back, especially since Ash is the first character to be revealed for XY anime.
They're also advertising the Kanto starters on October just like the Kalos starters.
