>>39816977This update was such a grind. Having to go through Rock Tunnel, the game corner, and the Pokemon Tower four times in a row really takes a toll on you. Thankfully repels exist, so it made it oh so much less painful than it could've been.
>YellowHad a pretty easy time going through this update. Hermes is proving to be pretty strong, although I had a lot of close calls due to how frail he is. I fear I may eventually lose him to one of such calls. I also discovered that Gust is a Normal type move in Gen 1, so I had Aelous beat most trainers in order to get that sweet Wing Attack for Erika and her gym.
>BlueFinallly getting some good move coverage, I really like how Gen 1 gives you some good TM's so early in the game. The whole team saw plenty of use this time around, but Coatlicue surprised me with how strong he was. I had never used the Zubat line until Platinum, so it was nice to find it was somewhat usable in Gen 1.
>RedI had a disastrous encounter with a Geodude in Rock Tunnel and unfortunately Surtr has fainted. R.I.P. fire buddy. Freya is such a powerhouse, I feel I could solo the game with her, but thankfully Loki with Dig has been able to keep up so I don't have to.
>JP BlueRock Tunnel was kind of a struggle since Absorb has such low PP, and the rest of my team mostly had Normal moves before reaching Celadon. Once I got to Celadon though things became much easier thanks to TMs. Erika was swept by Dalia easily.
