>>58584401That's the thing, most people like the conclusion of the Emerald arc. But before the conclusion, the whole beginning until the middle point of the arc didn't have any of the previous main characters in it, it was just Emerald annoying the Frontier Brains and most readers hated that part. (Crystal only cameos a bit at first and Ruby/Sapphire only show up halfway through the arc.) So all this affects perception of the arc when taken together as a whole and not just the climax/ending.
