Seriously though, first time I haven't had a death from grinding. Very proud of myself.
Once I made it out of Petalburg Wood, I picked up Bullet Seed for , pushed through everyone I saw, and went to challenge Roxanne. This however, was where I made a mistake. I should have taken on the trainers north of Rustboro before taking on Roxanne, because her Aaron proved strong. Nelly proved an amazing switch-in, because she could stall using Attract + Growl, giving me time to heal both her and Sandy. RNG really screwed me over though, consistently giving me only 2-hit Bullet Seeds, and so I needed to heal Sandy again after Relicanth, plus I was afraid because of the speed drops. I sent Nelly in, and the very first thing Roxeanne's Nosepass did was use Block on Nelly. That was really her doom right there, because we went back and forth, Nelly using Growl, Nosepass using Harden, and then we started attacking each other with Tackle. But then the bitch uses Rock Tomb, scores a crit, and takes Nelly out from half health.
Sandy was able to come in and clean up Nosepass, but I lost Nelly. She probably would have ended up boxed sooner or later anyway, but it still could have been later. Oh well, it wouldn't really be a Lasky 'Locke if I didn't lose something, right?
I also missed my chance to catch a Krabby on Route 104 because I only had two Pokeballs, and both of them failed. At least Krabby sucks.
