>>45304514>This is unequivocally the stupidest type matchup in the entire seriesHow about this one? FYI I'm not an anti-Fairyfag I just don't think this makes sense.
People will be quick to point out how this relationship is supposed to represent good triumphing over evil, but think about this. When we speak of being a good person, we generally are talking about one of 2 completely separate things: being heroic and self-sacrificing, or being unoffending and innocent. One dishes out justice, the other refuses to do anyone harm. It's clear that Heroic Good is represented in Pokémon by Fighting and to a lesser extent Bug, and that Innocent Good is represented by Fairy.
Against evil, Herioc Good is the force that stops wicked-doers from exploiting and harming others. But Innocent Good? Those people are martyrs, the victims of evil. The sensitive ones who can't fight back, because they are too sweet and demure and naive. That kind of purity akin to what a little girl has is what Fairy Type is. Fairy Types should absolutely get torn apart by vicious and unforgiving Dark Types.
