>>47791522Route 10 is the most overrated, musically boring pile of shit ever (apart from Wally's theme in ORAS, don't even get me started on that), and so is the rest of the Gen 5 soundtrack. The only reason people jerk off the Gen 5 soundtrack is because it's so easy to digest. The Gen 4 soundtrack is objectively better and is musically superior too. The lake theme, Eterna Forest and Mt. Coronet are amazing compositions, not just by Pokémon standards, but for VGM in general.
Route 10 literally just repeats the vi V IV V chord progression (a very common pop progression) and throws in random diatonic chords here and there, and only uses 1 chromatic note, one time. It's fucking boring, but of course normies and the smoothbrains that occupy this board will eat that shit up (and the rest of the Gen 5 soundtrack) because it uses the epic relatable uplifting pop chords.
Unironically, you need to have a very high IQ to understand the Gen 4 soundtrack.
