At first I though he was a bit sus; at the end of the first cutscene it faded to black and he said something like "it's ok, you can come out" I though he had the opposite legendary, it seemed as if he knew too much and I thought he'd end up being the main villain. Turns out, no, he's basically an orphan who did no wrong. I want to hug him.
Victory Road was ok I guess. The gym battles were really disappointing, they were too easy. The leaders themselves were good characters (especially Larry), but their battles were just underwhelming. The Elite 4 was on point and the examination was a great concept and I loved it. The Champion is dogshit and Nemona's final battle's only redemption is the whole atmosphere that surrounds it, but again, if it actually were challenging it'd have been 10x better.
Team Star's plotline is also just "ok I guess". The plot is extremely meh. Clive and the fact that the boss battles were somewhat challenging are the things that redeem it. I didn't have much problem with Penny's character but I can see why most people here did.
Area Zero is peak kino. Excellently executed. My only problem is the final fight against the opposite 'don, I don't like scripted fights. But everything else is just great and I'm thirsty for more lore.
