A pokemon could lose their home, their family, their friends, their dreams, ideals, etc. because they got thrown into a PC box for years possibly decades until their kidnapper/trainer dies and the government eventually notices and releases them. That's so cruel and oddly inhumane. Or hell, the PC system itself could have some global crash or something and pokemon could be trapped in there with no escape.
There are several flaws in this system of containing sentient creatures like this. Especially ones we're supposed to see as "friends".
