I want a console pokemon game with a good, heartwarming & heartbreaking story.
The overworld will always have pokemon roaming about. Filled to the brim with secret areas that encourage exploration. Places where you have to use certain pokemon abilities to progress and there are special pokeballs you can use on nearby pokemon to temporarily have them help you out of battle.
The battle system would be actiony. There'd be no 'transition to generic field' after encountering. There'd only be a "trainer level" so you can freely switch between different pokemon for your team so you don't have to worry about grinding new pokemon up to level. And of course, there would be interchangeable difficulty levels.
Basically, I want a pokemon game where it feels like the world is full of life. Encourages exploration. Has an amazing story. Has a battle system that isn't turned based and encourages experimenting. Is more about quality than quantity, where each and every minute spent on the game doesn't feel repetitive or drawn out. And isn't held back by previous conventions of the series.
What's your dream pokemon game, /vp/?
