unova was the worst region we've ever had. empty as fuck with bland routes and no points of interest
a dex consisting of abomination tier pokemon with only a handful of decent pokemon, barely enough to scrape together a fucking team and most of those pokemon come later in the game
the one good thing that came from gen 5 is reusable TMs.
it casualized the series and started the trend of making the elite 4 have less pokemon (which gen 7 thankfully fixed)
