US dub clearly intended them to be some sort of sub‐films without a theatrical release, like here in Eastern Europe the former got released on VHS with dubbing, but all of the other special were ignored.
The specials were released as that ‘Pokémon Chronicles’ season as I recall, without those two or the Mega Evolution special counted under it? I’m still not sure.
