>>54129968I started with FRLG so the original first two gens never held a lot of appeal for me, I don't have the nostalgia for them and they felt too sluggish whenever I tried to play them. I did end up getting Crystal and started playing through it in short chunks, but I stopped after reaching Goldenrod and beating Whitney. I eventually finished playing through the rest of it for Celebi, but aside from seeing how the Crystal story differed from HGSS, it wasn't that great of an experience and i'd tell people looking to experience Johto to play HGSS any-day.
