Nothing is going to change, especially this close to release. The game is practically ready for shipping at this point. Kanto pandering, linearity, and laziness have been ruining the franchise for the last several years anyway, nothing we do is going to change that. Game Freak realized they can make more money in other ways through merch, pokemon go, and gacha shit so nothing with the main series will ever change. Just accept it. Buy the game or not who fucking cares anyway.
