>>48909658Wally went easily enough. Had a bit of a scare with his Kirlia using Draining Kiss when I thought it'd use Psychic on Shiinotic, but otherwise no issue.
>WattsonTeam - Galvantula, Alolan Raichu, Magneton, Lanturn, Rotom-Mow, Manectric. Led Charjabug so me and Galv could exchange Sticky Web, then I killed him with two X-Scissors. On Manectric, I sent in Araquanid to bait an electric move but then Wattson's AI just went completely berserk over the fact I had a Wacan Berry. He basically refused to use electric moves and let me kill the Manectric and Alolan Raichu while crippling the rest of his team heavily before Lanturn finally decided to Volt Switch on me to make me eat the berry. From there, I Rapid Spun away his Sticky Web with Tsareena and swept the rest of his team with it.
>>48913848In general, especially in hacks and such, it's better for a Pokemon to 'double down' on what it's good at, instead of spreading itself across the board, so I think Impish makes more sense than trying to salvage Skarmory's pretty bad special defense.
Still, yeah, that sucks.
>>48915749Well you would presumably only treat the mons for your monotype as viable encounters and not catch/consider anything else. So, say I was doing a dark monotype of Emerald, I'd just run away from Zigzagoon and Wurmple on the first route and catch the first Poochyena I see.
And yeah you have a lower number of mons, but you should consider what game/monotype you're even doing. Like FRLG is pretty bad for any monotype that's not Water or Poison. It is a challenge on top of a challenge, remember.
>>48916974It's probably because of the fact that Tackle got buffed to 50 BP and always accurate in Gen 5. Gen 5 games also have very few routes early on which makes early game harder than it maybe should be.
