That's the entire fun of Pokemon and monster collecting games in general. If I wanted to play something with a relatively fixed party the whole way through I'd just play every other JRPG in existence.
Mainline Pokemon games are pretty mediocre, so Rom hacks have the chance fix the ONE thing which is take advantage of Pokemon's mechanics over other RPGs and make it more fun. And yet some of them, like Incelment Emeralda apparently, miss the point completely.
