First clear get.
The game took a huge nosedive in difficulty after Cerulean and only really picked up right at the end with the E4 that could actually fight back. Even when I didn't use bullshit fusions there were too many weak stage 1 pokemon fusions with final stage evos even after tweaking the sliders.
Anyways here's everyone I used along the way.
The fusion autism was enjoyable enough for me to raise a bunch of new pokemon for every gym challenge instead of sticking to who I already had.
My starter was a Chimchar/Cleffa, but in Viridian I caught a Larvesta/Vibrava who became my new starter. Fucking love the Volcarona/Flygon design.
The real MVP of the early game was the Caterpie/Zubat I traded for. A reliable fusion that hard carried the team thanks to Larvesta evolving so late.
