>>38783049There is literally nothing wrong with LGPE's overworld encounters, as long as wild battles return. Most other JRPGs have gotten rid of random encounters a long time ago, it makes finding certain Pokemon significantly easier, and also means Follower Pokemon have essentially a 99.9% chance of happening.
/vp/ will shit on it though, because despite constantly clamoring for the series to change up the formula, a significant change like this will be shit on because "LGPE BAD!!!! >:((((((". If it's the exact same as LGPE, with no battle aspect and Go-style catches, then I'll agree on it being a poor change. Otherwise, it's a genuinely good change that literally everyone outside of /vp/ will welcome with open arms and you cynical retards will shit on it just because it's from one of the worst games in the series, despite without a doubt being significantly better than the alternative.
