I think by far the worst forest is petalburg. It's got nothing that striking about it that makes it stand out. don't get me wrong, Gen 3 is my favorite by far, but it is the weakest of all gens. All the other forests and routes have distinguishing features about them, while petalburg just feels like a rehash of the earlier routes. I think that spinwheel is the best forest so far, it just has such a cool atmosphere that many don't have, though Gen 4's forest is a close second. they both pull off a great feel, but spinwheel feels more deep, dark, and mysterious that makes you want to go deeper.
