1) Sun/Moon take place at least 10 years after Hoenn.
And
2) The Battle Frontier Hoenn takes place in a different universe to the ORAS Hoenn, otherwise she would still be the keeper of the Battle Tower. Whether she actually comes from the other universe and got to ours via the Ultra Wormhole is a different story. They keep that ambiguous by her loss of memory.
I didn't believe all this RSE and ORAS are parallel universes crap until she showed up in Sun/Moon. Her, of all characters. They could've picked anyone else.
