Anyone else wants to post their team and thoughts so far? No, just me? Okay. I'll keep it mostly spoiler-free so if anyone seeing this wants to try this, I recommend a read.
I'm before the third gym and it's pretty good. It takes some liberties from other fangames I've played, but it seems to balance some of that stuff. Sadly, story does already takes a nose dive and if you dislike the 'edgy' and serious out of nowhere aspects of most fangames, you might have issues, but other than random swear word I've noticed, someone's literal Deviantart OC and intro cutscene it's not that bad.
I feel underleveled and honestly, I actually recommend turning on 'Easy' EXP Share mode for the first playthrough if this looks promising to you. At least difficulty wise game always gives you at least one powerful Pokemon on a silver platter before each gym, I just wish there was a way to rematch already to make grind for teams with more mons less of a chore.
The effort and quality is the biggest reason you should play it though. Because of course it needed 3D Badge obtaining animation, every new Pokemon including gen 6-7 needing gen 5 moving sprites, fishing/fish dodging minigame, unique routes and locations with gimmick or two, different Wild Battles themes depending on terrain etc. Honestly my favorite change is the fact you're always getting an item from wild battle if the Pokemon had one, even if you captured it or defeated it and Thief seems to be gone. On one hand it means you can have 10x Black Belts early, but you can sell most of it. You do get some crazy good TMs way too early on though and playthrough wise balance seems crazy as I've mentioned, but I'm not sure if I want them to turn it down, having Energy Ball and Frost Breath early on is fun.
I'm probably keeping the starter, wolf, elekid and getting sound type Eeveelution and Celebi knock-off. Does the Steel/Poison top ballerina evolve into anything good? If not, any good replacement recommendations?
