I was very hyped for the SM anime guys. I thought it was gonna be very comfy to just see Ash goofing around at school with 3 new waifus. But after I watched the latest XY episode, I really feel conflicted. This episode in particular would've worked great as a final episode for the whole series. I just realized that XY was very different from all what we had seen before.
I didn't like it that much at first because I thought it was full of shipping pandering and I hated all those faggots who screamed "SM will be shit," but I never thought that, in the end, they would end up putting that ship to sail. Shit, it's very heavily implied that Serena kissed Ash on the lips (you have to be a very retarded Pokéshipper to think otherwise), and that left me thinking, "the shipping moments were not just pandering. They were building an actual story."
I have the feeling that XY was really going to be the end of Ash as the main character after this episode. It really feels like a closure for his adventures. Ash was going to win, he was gonna get the girl, and he was going to be a Pokémon Master.
I don't feel like SM is going to be that good anymore. After thinking about this, I just don't want see Ash goofing around acting like a little boy and the show being so lighthearted. If they changed characters, I would have no problems.
What do you animefag /vp/oreons think?
