A few of these look cool, but 90% of them look embarrassing, not an improvement at all. They remind me of ugly off-model "Pokemon" printed on knockoff towels and bedsheets in the late 90s/early 2000s.
Some like Chansey (which happens to be one of my favorite Pokemon) are hideous both in concept and execution and it shows that whoever made these have a very poor understanding of
1. What the monsters are actually supposed to drag inspiration from (Chansey is not a kangaroo and her egg is NOT a Pokemon egg. There's a reason why it has always been associated with the idea of nurturing and healing others. THIS is theme, not kangaroos nor boiled eggs)
2. What good design choices look like (she's pink because it plays into her concept of a nurturing, gentle, feminine Pokemon. She belongs to that category of Pokemon that were meant to appeal to the average female audience who look for pink kawaii stuff. You CAN'T take that away from Chansey and claim you "improved" her. You simply drew a bad fakemon).
