Sandy adds on her artistic element and it's the end of her character. Muddy Buddy is implied to have once been a great trainer who looked hard into the fast lane of life and jumped right in. He was brutally good at what he did and people from all around held him in the highest respects. However, as he became older his skills started to fade and he realized there was more to life that could only be discovered if he held back a bit. He came to value the joy of living with his mons more than being the best. However, with his years of advanced skills he is still one of the greatest trainers in the land. When Sandy was young and he was still in his prime he took her under his wing and helped her gain her full potential. He could finally retire from spot as E4 when he had finally bred Sandy as somewhat of a daughter or much younger sister figure to take over his spot.
