Allow me to clarify:
What's the point of making Gyarados spawn shiny or even look for it, when Magikarp are 100x more common and therefore have higher odds, despite the "higher" odds Gyarados may have. You will encounter 2 Gyarados *maybe for every 300 Magikarp you find. It's a stupid gimmick, plain and simple. And I don't need the handout, I already have more than enough from prior events.
