If Poison wasn't so damn overdone it would be perfect for the "royalty" theme. Normal might also be boring, but it could've been interesting at least if done right.
Emboar should've been Fire/Steel Chinese ornate pottery and nothing will convince me otherwise. I'd rather it repeat Heatran than Camerupt or Infernape, and it could've still been unique. It learning scald even fits Chinese Dings boiling water/food.
