I can only guess that 4kids or the network wanted some event-type episode, so they dug up that one and advertised it as a "lost episode" like a bunch of other shows tended to do, but the reputation the episode had built up as the "James boobs episode" might've influenced the folks in charge to pull it from rotation for good.
