>>47132042"Alright, Lillie, it's just like we practiced. Capture the alien Pokemon!" Faba was instructing her from the command center built at the Aether Foundation. A comet had recently impacted on the moon, and the foundation was quick to act on the vital signs they were reading from the crater not knowing how much longer it would remain there.
"Mommy!" Lillie cried on the surface of the moon.
Faba covered his microphone with his hand and leaned over to Lusamine. "She could really use some words of encouragement right now."
"I'm not here."
He uncovered the microphone, "Lillie, you need capture it before it damages your suit or else you're done for!"
She was loudly wailing now at the sight of her cosmic emissary. The weight of her suit created much difficulty in her ability to hold on to and throw Poke Balls, and it effortlessly darted around them.
Wicke was terribly worried about their astronaut's safety. "Poor thing, did we really have to send her up there?"
Lusamine began rubbing her headache. "The ultraspace program ended up being... significantly more costly than estimated. We were already overbudget, so had to downsize on the suit and craft, cut back on the training..."
"Lusamine volunteered her own daughter." Faba gave her a sideways glance.
"I thought it would be good for her! Enrichment, or something."
"Wait," Wicke was pointing to the monitors, "I think she caught it!"
The Pokemon was nowhere to be seen, yet Lillie continied to scream and throw the remainder of her Balls into empty space.
Faba let out a sigh of relief. "At least she remembered her training."
Wicke spoke motherly into the microphone, "Okay, honey, you did it! You can come home now."
"Mommy!"
Everyone in the command center turned to look at Lusamine. She had her head in one hand and gestured with the other to keep things moving and get her offspring back to Earth already.
