You not buying it isn't gonna change the fact that it well sell millions, and then when Gen 8 comes out that will also sell as much if not more. Those people who are buying a Switch to play these will likely buy Gen 8 because they already invested the $300 on the system. If it changes the core games, then time will still continue to move on and Pokemon will continue to sell just as well as it always has.
