Reasonable Changes (all at once and together these are not going to break Bug types, just make them a lot more viable)
>Bug now resists Fairy. Gives them another useful resistance that just improves longevity and chances to switch in>Fairy no longer resists Bug. This would be huge. Bugs can now use their moves more safely but it also means that Pokémon like Gardevoir and Grimmsnarl are weak to Bugs, making them less safe to keep in against U-turns or Bug types in general>Bug now resists itself. This also goes a long way in helping their longevity. Pokémon like Lokix, Parasect or Rabsca now lose the weakness to their own type and can be hit for neutral giving them better switch-ins and fewer counters which goes a long way in some of their cases>Increase the power of Pounce to 60bp and Struggle Bug to 55bp to make them more enticing (also makes Struggle same BP as Icy Wind). Distribute Steamroller and Twinneedle around again, give Steamroller a new secondary effect (not sure what). Buff Twinneedle to 50bp to make it a Bonemerang/Gear Grind clone. >Revisit more of the early route Bug types and give them stat buffs or better move selection. It can't just be the fan favorites like Butterfree that get all the loveCrazy Changes (these would make Bug types probably too good)
>Bug types get a 50% SpDef boost on Grassy Terrain. This gives them good synergy with Grass types and helps the weaker ones survive, Ledian would actually maybe be unkillable on the special side at this point. Yes this would make Pokémon like Scizor feel too strong but who the fuck cares anymore>Bug types are immune to either redirection or forced switches. Pick the one you want. The logic for either is that they are persistent and pesty. They definitely don't get both though, just one of these
