I had to actually use the Modest mint the game gives you on Szayelaporro here as otherwise the Mr. Mime would outspeed. Lead Goku Black/Szayela, focused into Mr. Mime, then focus fired into Oricorio and Lombre, while the Charjabug mostly just wasted turns trying to land weak Digs on Goku Black. This allows me to now 2v1 Charjabug's side of the field, which wasn't hard (other than just creatively switching around the Fighting Gem Passimian).
>Keta His team - Pignite, Scraggy, Galarian Farfetch'd, Machoke, Combusken, Lucario, doubles. Lead Szayelaporro and Mimimi, take down the Pignite and paralyze the Scraggy, this makes him send in Lucario. I try to get Mimimi to Charm the Lucario, but it Gale Strikes (strong fighting custom move with +1 crit chance with added grass type in this terrain) to crit and kill Mimimi, then swap Szayela for Goku Black. Send in Anjuro to bait Scraggy/Lucario into Gale Striking that slot but send in Niardi to easily tank it then take down Lucario with Flame Wheel + Mach Punch. Repeat the same process for Machoke. On Combusken, I send in Gauron and obliterate the rest of his team with Air Cutter with Goku's help. First death, but could have gone worse.
Also, I can see why this game leads to quick burnout, it's because by the time you get to the 4th gym you fight about the same number of bosses that you'd fight over the course of an entire normal game. Forgot how much shit is packed into this.
