>>21949385This is what I need. Seriously. Helps me a lot, honestly.
As for the not learning bit, I will say just this in defense: I have yet to release a new, post-ban story that has applied all the things I've figured they need, but it takes time. I'll make sure to hint you guys on if its my fic or some pastebinner's.
>About that first partI've been writing, but not posting, for obvious reasons. While doing so, I'll try to figure out what I should do better, but it seems to blow up in my face in the form of posts like yours. Nevertheless, your comments have gotten me a bit closer to figuring it out. Since I'm a horrible judge of my own character, I'm blind to a bunch of things I do and your critique of my posting person has assisted me. Say, like how I often said, and still sometimes say, things that come across as somehow distressing, while I may have not meant anything bad by it. And apparently my inability to 'pay attention' as well.
>About the second bit and >>21951158Do you happen to mean that I should figure out why stories are readable by myself instead of consulting experienced writers themselves about it? Emulate what others have written to an extent and study it, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, like cge himself suggested with the science fic snippet? If so, I think I have a couple of things figured out, but not yet fully applied to any post-ban stories yet to be posted. Lot of them seem to be related to my pacing, lacking use of adjectives, similes, all that.
>About the third bitI did not mean that to come out as rude or anything, so I don't get your problem there, I really don't. Literacy laws have been standard for a long time, right? How is it contemptuous of me to think that it's stupid of me to question ages old standards of writing?
People with no names of any kind, that carry traits with them, but not a moniker to tie them to, can be called UPVs? Unidentified Personality Vessels? I'm sorry if my nicknaming of this phenomenon offended you.
