We all know that GameFreak is going to give them to a few Pokemon that actually need the boost, but mostly 'mons that are already popular or easy to promote. Expect at least one legend, some pseudos, a bunch of Pokemon from Gen 1, and several Pokemon that they couldn't be assed to develop Mega Evolutions for. Like every Kalos starter.
Frankly, I believe what we SHOULD be discussing, is what we think this hypothetical Armor Evolution actually entails. Is it Mega Evolution with a different name and a fraction of the creativity/effort ("just slap metal plates on it")? Does it change the Pokemon's secondary type to Steel? Does it increase all stats, or just Defense and/or Special Defense? Does it grant status protection? Does it reduce damage from specific types after accounting for the Pokemon's own type matchups? If there's a "weapon" equivalent, does it boost Attack, Special Attack, and or Speed? Would it grant a free boost to specific types of damage? How much further will they break the games?
