Prior to Gen 5, he is available ONLY in RBY and their remakes, with the only other exception being the POSTGAME in HGSS (literally after you beat Red, the final boss, I.E. when the game is completely finished).
He IS NOT AVAILABLE in GSC, RSE, DPPt (aka the main fucking Gen 2, 3 and 4 games).
Stop fucking pretending that Charizard was super freely available until Gen 5 when he fucking well wasn't and you damn well know it. Fuck.
Even Pikachu wasn't available until super late postgame in GSC and HGSS, so you can't use him as your scapegoat either. Fuck off.
Stop trying to handwave away any criticism of Gen 5. If the other Gens aren't immune to criticism, then neither is Unova.
