>>38690606Literally just replace HMs with Rides. They'd serve the exact same functions, and you'd get them at the same time as you get the HMs. This would do nothing but improve the games. You have to add "oh but you get them too early because that's how this game did it" in order to keep pushing your agenda that Rides are inherently bad in concept, and not just that Gen 7's execution was poor. Just face the fact that HMs how they've been handled these entire years was pointless and restricting, and the only people defending them have to resort to stupid reasons like this to argue in favor of them. They should have been left as simple items like they were planned to be from the start. That'd be even BETTER than having either Rides or HMs. Fuck requiring certain Pokémon for the sake of HMs, and fuck dumb ride outfits, but most of all, fuck regressing back to stupid, outdated design that restricts the player.
