25 and been playing since the first two months Red and Blue came out, started watching the shows before the games even got released. I remember getting so excited for every battle and every new episode, then flipping my shit when I learned there was going to be a game for it and we could fight with our own Pokemon. Can't remember being that excited for anything really. I stopped playing after Diamond/Pearl, but Heart Gold and Souls Silver pulled me back in and I'm glad.
Growing up I wanted to race monster trucks and racecars, I wanted to fly fighter jets, be a rockstar, and go into space. None of that shit is ever going to happen. I am going to be a Pokemon master, this has been a 15 year long journey and it's been rough at times but I can taste it. With online battling I've never had as much fun with it before either, it's the most fast paced game of chess I could imagine. Sure, people can and do try to make fun of me sometimes, but you can't make me feel bad for winning with the critters I am proud of or having so much fun with so many friends. Life's too short not to enjoy yourself :)
