So I thought about how revolutionary abilities actually were for the series and wanted to hear ideas for similair things that could be added in the future.

My idea is to add skill trees. Each type would get a skill tree. You could get a point per 10 levels starting at level 10 and ending at level 50. An example could be ground types get bonus hp.

They are likely to fix some Gym Leaders' teams, E4's and the Champion's, already kind of proven with Phoebe's Dusknoir. Then you get to the likely Battle Frontier where you have an actual challenge. Why do you want to make going through the main story's random trainer battles more annoying than it already was?

I especially love this idea.

I loved Zygarde and the role it canonically serves between Xerneas and Yveltal, but it's stupid that GameFreak gave Zygarde a weakness to Xerneas' STAB.

If a Pokemon is to be the intermediary between two, it is supposed to be able to counter both of them. Aura Break is shit and barely does it.
