For real though. I like how Torchic mirrors May in terms of personality/progression. Sub May right now ends most of her sentences with -kamo ('I think?'). She's still a young girl learning about the world of Pokemon, she lacks confidence, and this is reflected in her Torchic being a silly boy/girl.
