>>58231699Pictures with storytelling are made by people who have a lot of ideas, or are just clever. But most people are mindless drones who don't have good ideas. Before AI, this also reflected on most artists, many of whom were autists with no personality or thoughts of their own, who invested all their skill points into drawing generic pin-up girls in the same style over and over again. They drew to distract themselves from reality or to goon but either had nothing to say, or didn't know how to say it in their art (yet). These are the kinds who were hit worst by image AI and are most likely to an hero now that AI can replace them easily. The average mindless artist is now replaced by the average mindless AI prompter, who is equally as uncreative but hasn't even trained in drawing skill so they're even worse. It's the work of these prompters that floods the internet with slop today.
But there's a minority of people who do have interesting ideas and are truly creative. Before AI, only the artists among them who trained their drawing skills could create artwork with storytelling in them. Now after AI removed the drawing skill barrier, now theoretically anyone with good ideas can make an image filled with storytelling if they try hard enough.
Tl;dr I think soon there will be more clever prompters popping up who will figure out how to use AI to make images that have story, or just to say something interesting and be more than pure slop. It's just a matter of time.
