so this challenge mode run is going ridiculously smooth, 1 death to Cheren (necessary sacrifice against that bloody poodle of his), 1 to Elesa (critical stomp, twice in a row), 1 to Skyla (critical surf) and one to me being an idiot during grinding
also been getting quite a bit of rare 'mons, not to mention actually getting to volcarona without a single non-duplicate encounter (though I'm saving him for if things go completely south)
still, plenty of close calls sofar so my luck may turn
