>SM doesn't require you to memorize type matchups anymoreLiterally tons of games have done and do that too. Even games with way less types/attributes/elements/etc than pokemon. A lot of them do it even when you encounter enemies for the very first time.
>Rotom-dex gives you hints about where to goAgain, something that tons of games already do and no one complains. Even fucking Skyrim does so and it is targeted to an older audiene than Pokemon is.
>The games are way too easy!Don't get me wrong. I'd love to have difficulty settings as many others do (since, again, it's something tons of games do), and I'd love to play a pokemon game that could give me an experience similar to the one I had with R/B when I was a kid and I didn't know what was going on/got stomped by a trainer with an unexpectedly strong team. But it's been a decade since we had a pokemon game that can be considered challenging. By now I have accepted that pokemon simply isn't going to be hard so I stopped expecting that. Does it suck a little? Yeah, but it's at this point I'm the only to blame if I keep getting dissapointed because of that.
All I've been hoping for SM is for it to have an interesting plot/lore and nice places to explore with my pokemon.
