You really base your ideas of Pokemon designs off of their opinions? There are countless numbers of legends and characters and cultural references that your parents have never heard about. Tons of fictional kinds of characters, all things that Pokemon are based on, that most 50+year olds know nothing about. Why does it matter if it doesn't look like a boring and unoriginal basic animal design?
