Compare Palafin to Dialga. Palafin's stats are pretty comparable, with both having 100 hp, with 160/150 in their primary attacking stat and 100/90 in speed respectively. Palafin only has 106 points in its secondary attacking stat while Dialga has 120. However, Palafin actually has the moves to make use of its secondary attacking stat since it has Boomburst and Draining Kiss.
Dialga also effectively has no ability since Pressure is all but useless on it, and Telepathy is actually useless on it.
