Hey friends, I've been wanting to relive the days when I actually enjoyed this fucking series, so I figured I'd do a Nuzlocke challenge like the good old days. Gonna play the era I enjoy, GBA/DS. Sort of a region-travel playthrough. FireRed, SoulSilver, Emerald, Platinum, and White.
Rules aside from the normal:
>Champion Clause: Any Pokemon, living or dead, that makes it to the HoF in one game has its line stricken from all subsequent ones. This includes split evos like Eevees or Hitmons.
>Set battle style
>Wild Pokemon and Starters randomized to within the same power level to make catches actually somewhat interesting in regions with poorly-distributed Regional Dexes
Starting off with a choice of Totodile, Pichu, or Ralts with Brock as my first gym leader makes things easy, though it does unfortunately give Boomer's rival, Zoomer, what he called "an easy dub no cap fr fr" with a two-shot Thundershock. Thankfully, I don't consider the Nuzlocke to start until after Rival 1, so here we go!
